Product Information
Mullite-corundum bricks refer to high-alumina refractory products made of corundum and mullite as the main crystalline phases. Mullite-corundum bricks are refractory products made from high-purity or relatively pure raw materials. The presence of low-melting oxide impurities in them can degrade their high-temperature performance.
Mullite-corundum bricks include:
- Sintered mullite-corundum bricks made by sintering sintered corundum and sintered mullite as the main raw materials.
- Fused mullite-corundum bricks made by fusing fused corundum and fused mullite as refractory raw materials in an electric furnace.
Mullite-corundum is used in petrochemicals, medium and large synthetic ammonia gasifiers and magnetic material gasifiers, high temperature industrial furnaces and kilns, and other high temperature furnace facilities. It is not prone to spalling and can withstand high temperatures, adapting to various high temperature kiln environments. It can serve as the working layer in other industrial high temperature furnaces and kilns.

- High-temperature resistance, high refractoriness, and high load softening temperature.
- Resistance to chemical corrosion. They have strong resistance to acidic solutions and slag.
- Oxidation resistance.
- Good thermal stability, stable volume at high temperatures without tendency to expand or shrink.
- Thermal shock resistance, resistance to rapid heating and cooling, not prone to spalling.
- High cold crushing strength, not prone to abrasion during handling and unloading.
Corundum Mullite Bricks are mainly used in High-wind-temperature long-life hot-air blast furnace, glass furnace and also ceramic burning kiln.
