Product Information
Mullite insulation brick is a porous, lightweight refractory brick consisting mainly of mullite (3Al2O32SiO2) and other minerals. It is intended to provide excellent thermal insulation while retaining structural and thermal stability at high temperatures.
Mullite insulating bricks are frequently used in high-temperature industrial furnaces, kilns, and other high-temperature situations where energy efficiency and heat preservation are critical.
- JM23: This type of mullite insulating brick has a maximum service temperature of 2300°F (1260°C). It is commonly used in furnaces, kilns, and other high-temperature environments that require insulation and thermal stability.
- JM26: JM26 is a higher-grade mullite insulating brick with a maximum service temperature of 2600°F (1430°C). It provides better insulation and thermal stability than JM23 and is suitable for use in higher temperature applications, including the linings of furnaces and kilns.
- JM28: JM28 mullite insulating bricks can withstand temperatures up to 2800°F (1540°C), making them suitable for even more demanding high-temperature applications. These bricks offer excellent insulation, low thermal conductivity, and high thermal stability.
The “JM” in the code stands for “Ji Mo,” a Chinese term for lightweight mullite insulating bricks, and the numbers represent the maximum service temperature in hundreds of degrees Celsius (e.g., JM26 can withstand up to 2600°F).
